December 2008
What would you do with one felt bead that measures one inch in size? Make a Christmas ornament or decoration? A piece of jewelry? Here are some ideas from the Interweave staff--many of whom had never done any beading before. We also had three Beading Daily readers join us for this challenge. Special thanks to readers Sheila Hendricks, Billy Zurcher, and Karen Cohen for taking the time to create a special project just for this gallery. Read the related story about this challenge or see the snowflake designs from the 2007 challenge.
Beaded Angels, Santa, and Other Delightful Creatures
Something about fuzzy beads made several people think of fuzzy creatures! Use the felted bead as a head and make the bodies out of seed beads, fabric, yarn, or a second felted bead.

Beaded Jewelry, Accessories, and Home Decor
These felted beads make great pendants, rings, accessories, or home decor items. However you decide to display your bead, it's sure to get noticed!

Beaded Christmas Ornaments
These beaded ornaments are a fun way to use up those last few beads from your latest project. You can easily stitch beads or buttons to the felted beads and create a simple wire loop through the bead's hole to create a hanger.
