I feel a bit different with my tree for nature protection. I beleive that without doing something for nature conservation and making our modern societies use earth's resources with intelligence, we will need to fight more and more diseases.

There are many beaders, here in my French and German area, who joined to bead leaves and flowers to make a dead desert tree bloom again; and expose it, as a symbol of our wish to see nature preserved. Our message, our 'voice', is to make clear that this tree will never produce O2 or CO2 despite all our efforts.

I hope that beaders from the entire world will join the group called Beaders' Voice for Nature (on Face book www.facebook.com/group.php).

Any idea or action for fundraising is welcome. Anybody can use the group as a platform for communicating with other beaders concerned by Nature conservation and a better future for our kids. My favourite theme is primary forest conservation; however, other beaders can choose any cause related to nature conservation.

Because mother nature is the most beautiful and extraordinary thing and most inspiring muse - not IN the world. She IS the world.

I noticed today that you featured beaders who bead for causes....so I'm sending you this to let you know that I live in Sedona, AZ and my husband and I have had our own little annual fundraiser for the past 3 years to raise money for the local Humane Society shelter. We make square stitch bracelets...each ones takes about 7 hrs..and we sell them in local gift shops and donate 100% of the proceeds to the shelter. Over the past 3 yrs, we've donated almost $5000....and this May through July, we hope to surpass that.

I'd love to see a regular feature in your magazine about people who bead for causes. It's inspiring and helps give the idea to other people who could also do the same in their communities.

2 years ago I created a bracelet for my 'charity of choice' The National Inclusion Project. I was able to sell 350 bracelets to raise $4,500. The bracelet is now on their website marketplace. www.inclusionproject.org

Doing a project like this for a cause is so rewarding.

I just had to comment on this. Though, I am no professional at work I created bead bracelets for a silent action we had for Stride for Stroke... It went over great. Next thing I knew I had someone else ask me to create some for a Cancer Awareness Fundraiser they are arranging...
