On the one hand, I get bored easily and I like to shake things up. On the other hand, I have a considerable collection of embarrassing photos of me wearing trends that, well, let's just say didn't hold

re: Fall Trends in Jewelry Design

Stinging magazine has always been one of my favorites it gives inspiration and great ideas. One thing I haven't found in magazines or on the web are ideas for bead rooms. I always see bead storage ideas or new ways to use my husbands hardware storage containers. But, I would love to see some of the bead rooms and work areas. Like, how others have set them up and what would be more ergonomically correct. I would also love to see designing tips. I can always find inspiration from the pieces I see, but I would love to learn the designing basics. For instance, how many colors or focal beads should be in a necklace and then where to go from there. I will look forward to coming emails and the projects to follow, thank you for wll you do.

re: Fall Trends in Jewelry Design

Thanks for starting this website. I have recently discovered beads and have started a few projects. So far, I have integrated beads to my loom knitting and this weekend I ventured out to the store to pick up some beads and made some stitch markers.

This website will be inspirational and helpful.

re: Fall Trends in Jewelry Design

Regarding trendy looks, I find it desireable to my bottom line (I sell my work) to make a few (two or three) of the latest trend--this keeps regulars coming back for the newest thing. By the time they sell, the next trend is emerging and I'm not stuck with a lot of outdated stuff. The rest of my stock is "my look" and my basic line. If a trend seems to be lasting longer--over several seasons--I just make a few at a time as they sell.

Comment by: Kelli P.
