Hi V. Burnett.

By nature, the Hot Head is a reduction flame so reduction should be easy!

While the Raku frit should also reduce easily (that is, give you the metallic effects) getting color from it is quite another story.

To pull out the color, the bead needs to be superheated, which can be a challenge on a Hot Head, but not impossible.

Thanks for including info n glass bead making! I haven't been doing much lately, but I do have a hot head and a decent election of moretti rods. Someday, I intend to put together a oxygen/propane set up. In the meantime,I'm very curious about the new "raku" or reduction frits. Can i expect to get good results with these using my hothead torch? V. Burnett
