I am about to go on a cruise and was wondering what craft I could take to pass the time that was not too heavy. After reading this email I will take my seed beads and patterns for Peyote stitch and make some jewellery. Better than reading and I will have something to show at the end.

I have doing peyote stitch for about 3-4 year, now, and I love what can be done with it. I have been making keyfobs for Christmas this year, only I am doing something I have never seen done before; personalizing them with their names. I try to get their favorite colors (2 or 3 of them), and bead their names on the keyfob. I use a 2" long wooden dowel, about 3/8" in diameter (we get one dowel that is 36" in length and then get about 18 fobs out of them) and screw in an eye screw to put the key ring on to after the beading is done. I am enjoying "designing" these and have even had a "special order" requested for a business with their name and chicks beaded on there as well. I LOVE peyote!
