No No -- only the name "Bead Soup Blog Party' is trademarked -- bead soup can be used by anyone, and has for ages.

I'm sorry, but the term 'Bead Soup' is trademarked. Lori had this done a while back since it's for her product ( which should be available soon). She's also just had the ' Bead Soup Blog Party' trademarked as well.

Just a heads up so you can avoid any legal hassles. Lori is a really sweet lady and easy to approach. Don't be afraid to drop her a note to ask about getting permission to use either term.

I like bead soups of different shades of the same colour. While I tend to separate beads in pre-made mixes I do like to make mixes of my own. That's how I made my two freeform bead soup bracelets.

I LOVE the phrase "bead soup" and am going to borrow that,,,:) However, with all the beads in my studio that I have "just in case" for my art quilts, I could start a "bead restaurant".

The kind of beading I do is story telling beading. Each design means something like a lightnening bolt means power, a box with a cross in the middle and arrows on the out side of the box means peace between the Indian and the Whiteman and so on. Thanks !
