This was my second time here at it was fabulous. My shoes really got a work out! The weather was fabulous every day, filled with abundant toasty sunshine. My fav shows were at the double tree hotel and the Windham. I spent 3 full days at the doubletree! I went to the PMC party Friday night and had a blast, although they let too many people sign up and there was not enough time to get to all tables to do all of the make and takes. I worked with my first piece of copper clay there and now I am hooked! I bought so many wonderful things that I had to ship them home. (No room for more weight in the suitcase) All of the shows were huge, and I never knew where to start first, but I got through all of them and was exhausted every night,as I dreamt of beautiful colored beads. It was very easy driving around Tuscon even through lots of traffic. I was glad I went and had the 8 days to spend there. Some day I will return.

We lived in Tucson for 6 years and so it's always great to get to enjoy the gem and bead shows and hang out with all my girlfriends from there at the same time!! The Gem Mall took most of my time this year as did the Whole Bead show, To Bead True Blue and a couple of others. We always have such a great time in Tucson, but it was really nice living there and getting to go every couple of days during the entire series of events/shows - that is something I really miss!

I only was able to attend for a short couple of hours, but it was worth the trip out.

Accompanied by my service dog Beau, who was welcomed by all, (if anyone remembers a large black dog with blue eyes )as we went from booth to booth I felt welcomed like all were old friends. I mainly went to look, but was able to stock up on some great pearls from Bead Trust, and also purchased a couple pairs of their silk haram pants. These are fun, comfortable and inspiring.

The beads were plentiful, the quality terrific, the prices great.

Next year we plan to take two half day jaunts down there.

We really would like to go to Santa Fe, now that we have "Bead Show Fever!!"

Would love a chance to take some classes as well. All and all it was a great time and came home with some wonderful treasures!!. April & Beau
