My very favorite is Lapis Lazuli. It has so many various shades. I love denim lapis with coral and sterling or fine silver. I also like to mix it with crystals and copper. Very versatile stone. But even if that is my favorite, I have a stash just loaded with stones. Oh and lapis and labradorite!

I love gemstones almost as much as crystals! My absolute favorites are Jasper (specifically Impression/Imperial Jasper) and Agate. And I love to combine them with freshwater pearls and crystals (of course lol). And different metals too, Mookaite, my favorite stone for Fall, looks awesome with some tarnished copper.

And I agree SewMagical! In my Etsy shop I often put those fun facts in the descriptions :)

Something you can do when selling gemstone jewelry is to know some of the legends associated with the stone. For example:

* Ancient Egyptions belived carnelian enhanced courage.

* Amethyst was thought to prevent drunkenness.

* Aventurine would bring luck in money matters and gambling.

There are lots of others. Just do an internet search for "gemstone legends".

There's something kind of cool about moonstone. I used to have some 14mm round moonstone beads that really did look like the moon, which is probably what go me so into moonstone!
