Kristal Wick
is the editor of
Beading Daily

I have to admit, one of my favorite things about my job as Beading Daily editor is hearing your stories on Face Book and the Beading Daily Forums. I love reading how you started on this beady path. Your high points, your low points, what kind of music you listen to while beading, how long you've been beading, why you bead, your inspiration, dog person or cat person, and everything else you bead-chat about. Here are a few interesting things I learned about the Beading Daily community.

You come from all over the world with one major common factor, you LOVE beads! You love touching them, chatting about them, shopping for them, trading them, and everything in between (except vacuuming them up-I cringe thinking of the sound). It's good to know we're all on the same page no matter what type of beading you enjoy. To keep you skipping down your beady path, I've picked out a few of my fave projects for you AND as icing on the cake, they're 40% off!

Quite a few of you are self-taught, but the majority of you learned from a teacher.

Most of you learned a bead stitch first and it was usually peyote.

Many of you started making your own jewelry to save money and now spend every cent on beads (you also blame someone else for this fact because they took you into a bead store, showed you a magazine, or book).

Many of you have moved into wire and metals.

Many of you started to bead as part of your recovery process (accident, broken heart, disability).

Many of you make most of your jewelry as presents.

Haven't heard reports of any of you starting to bead and then quitting. It's more of an addictive sport.

A beady peep loves beads so much, her car's license plate holder reads "One Bead at a Time."

I've handpicked some of my fave jewelry making products from the store to share with my fave beady peeps, YOU! A bunch of them are 40% off so you can get them for yourself or get one of your pals started in beading and this lovely addiction.. oops, I mean hobby!
