In September 2008, Beading Daily held a contest for all readers, asking them to tell us how beading helped them through a difficult time. (You can read the original call for submissions.) We received more than 200 entries from all over the world. Kerrie Slade, the U.K. designer who created and donated two Awareness Ribbon Pins prizes, served as contest judge and chose the winners based on their essays.
