TierraCast Giveaway - Win a Set of Holiday Charms!

Dec 6, 2013

A few months ago, the lovely folks at TierraCast sent me a sampler of some of their very cool new products and jewelry making components, and included in the sampler was a set of some beautiful winter and holiday themed charms.

Now, I've got so many beading projects on my bead tray at the moment, I figured it would probably be best to pass this set on to someone else who could love it and use it to make some pretty holiday jewelry. So, here's your chance! And, to sweeten the pot, whoever wins this little set of holiday charms from TierraCast will also receive a little sample of vintage Swarovski crystal that I picked up in a destash from my friend Beki Haley of Whimbeads.

To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment on this blog (one per person -- duplicates will be deleted) before Monday, December 9, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. CST, telling us your favorite holiday movie or song. I'll select a winner at random to receive this sweet little holiday jewelry making kit!

Bead Happy,

Jennifer

When the chorus sang "O Holy Night", Peggy sang solo the part where you hit the high notes ...O night divine....and it was so beautiful! Her singing that night left a great impact on my young mind. I was so proud of her. To this very day I get tears in my eyes when I hear that song & think of my sweet sister.

My most favorite Christmas movie is "It's A Wonderful Life."  with Jimmy Stewart. Many times when I was growing up I used to think everyone would be better off without me ever being born, then I saw this moving I realized that everyone has a purpose in their life as well as the lives of people around them. My favorite Christmas song is "The Little Drummer Boy." every time I hear it I think of my Mom who loved the song and the little cartoon they used to run at Christmas time. She has been gone for several years now and she used to love Christmas so much. So when I hear the song it seems like she is there listening to it with me.

A Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCartney is my favorite Christmas song. I've watched many Christmas movies, but my favorites are the oldies, Miracle on 34th Street and It's a Wonderful Life. Love this time of year.

My favorite all time Christmas movie is A Christmas Carol. I've seen just about all of  them from the earliest 1938 English version with Reginald Owen as Scrooge to  Alistair Sim, George C. Scott, Henry Winkler, Bill Murray, Jim Carrey and Patrick Stewart. And let's not forget Disney's Mickey Mouse and the Muppet's movie version. I love this Charles Dicken's story. It just isn't Christmas without it.

And my favorite Christmas song is Oh, Holy Night.

My favourite movie that always turns up on TV at Christmas is 'Love Actually'.  I always cry at the end when everyone gets greeted at the airport - I wish I had hugs like that!  The laughs are many throughout the film - but especially the lobster in the Nativity Play!

The original "Miracle on 34th Street" is still my favorite Christmas movie!  Plus, you can't go wrong with "Jingle Bells", but "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" is my favorite Christmas song.

Love the moment in 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation' where the power company has to flip the switch to bring in nuclear power to light all the lights on the Griswold's house.  We collect 'over-the-top' decorated houses in our area every year and send our friends a list of the top 10 so everyone can enjoy them.

I have been eyeing the TerraCast components at my local craft store and just have not been brave enough to try them. I am a beginning beader and was afraid to use them since they are a bit more expensive. I heard that they do not use nickel in processing their components. I like that since I'm allergic to nickel.
