I
feel there's a very fine line between "normal" interest and obsession.
In the beading world this line isn't thin, fine, or slightly fuzzy,
it's darn near invisible! So, I'm sure many of you can relate to
crossing over this line, I'm betting more than a few of you have done
it. Join me in one of my interests/obsessions...
You're all animal lovers, right? If not, then baby lovers? In any case you must love SOMETHING small and tiny...
Tiny things are perfect for immortalizing in resin such as baby teeth, a
lock of hair, etc. After diving into Susan Lenart Kazmer's Exploring Resin Jewelry-Making
DVD, I simply had to make a "Bling Ring" with a picture of my baby
puppy Bling. I added additional bling by gluing Swarovski crystal flat
backs onto the ring itself and get compliments far and wide on how cute
it is (I'm wearing it in my new DVD, Mixed Media: Beaded Bracelets with Fiber Beads, Crystals, Resin, and Wire).

Some of my office mates wanted to capture their 4-legged babies in resin as well so here's Jessi Zilk's pup, Denali and Christan Humphries' pup,Bear (AKA Boogie), and we'd love to share five easy resin steps so you
can create your own bling rings! |

You'll find more resin-mania in Susan's Exploring Resin Jewelry-Making DVD. Whether you wish to resin springtime treasures like flower blossoms or pictures of your loved ones, Susan's sure to inspire and teach you everything you need to know!
The best is yet to bead!
