Just wanted to add a note of caution here. Where I live in the Great Smoky Mountains sticks and twigs are frequently inhabited by little creatures. I'm not sure how one would sterilize a stick, but bringing them into the warmth of a house could allow the creepy crawlies to hatch! Deffeinately not a good thing.

Where do you live? I have never seen anything posted from Lake Champlain. I am in Isle La Motte Vermont. From your photo it looks like you are looking at us from the new york side?

I want to bead a stick, too! I'm thinking of not beading the entire stick however, just making a little ornament on it -- if that makes sense. We have lots oak tree sticks near where I live.

I'll have a picture and some basic instructions up in the coming weeks! These things can take quite a while to finish - definitely can't be done in a single evening.
