Also, I have found the very end of adding fasteners to be the most challenging part... any suggestions?

I saw a tool somebody made (Stephanie Eddy) and is selling that makes this technique alot easier! There is a Youtube video showing how it's done and I literally understood it in just a few minutes watching how they did it. Much easier than doing it around a pencil. It is on my long list of tools to buy! She shows it very clearly.

It has attachments to allow you to make end caps and cones also.

Feel free to share this information in your newsletter if you want. I'm sure lots of people will want one of these. Although it's not inexpensive it sure looks to me like the cost is worth it. She provides several other accessories in the kit and full written instructions with diagrams.
